What is the post with ground stake made of?

The post and ground stake are made of high-quality Corten-A steel, a metal alloy composed of iron, copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium. The unique characteristic of Corten steel is the formation of a dense oxide skin, which acts as a protective rust layer. This layer prevents rusting through and protects the inner material from further oxidation while the process of corrosion continues slowly.

Note: Delivery in non-rusted condition.

Upon delivery, these parts are in their original gray metal color, without rusting. The start of the rusting process begins in the first 2 months, no treatment is required for this. The post and ground pin rust at the same time as the panel. During this rusting process, the parts may shed some rust, which is part of the properties of Corten steel.
