Corten steel U profiles (U-profile)
With a Corten steel overlay profile, you can very easily create a luxurious, contemporary and high-quality border or planter. This steel profile can easily be placed over concrete curb stones or stacking blocks, but they are also easy to press into the ground. Irregularities between concrete borders are perfectly compensated for by the length of the profiles. In combination with a rusty planter or another element in Corten steel, you create a beautiful whole in your garden. What kind of beauty will you create with this?
What is a Corten steel overlay profile?
An overlay profile is a way of creating a high-quality boundary. These profiles can be used to cover existing stacking blocks or concrete strips with Corten steel. The Corten steel overlay profiles are produced by our professionals in-house.
Corten steel curb stones: a beautiful finish to concrete or stone
The Corten steel curb can be used to give concrete or stone edges a beautiful finish. This gives the edges a clean, straight look.
- Partition garden elements: Corten steel adds a subtle accent to the edges of partitions, such as concrete and stone. This clearly marks the boundary between a flower bed and lawn, for example. This creates a beautiful and orderly look in the garden.
- Covering: Corten steel curb stones are perfect for covering uneven concrete or stone edges. This creates a clean design and neat finish for your outdoor space.
- Protection: Corten steel curb stones can take a beating. This makes them more resistant to dents or other damage compared to concrete and stacking blocks.
What type of material is it made of?
The transfer profiles are made of Corten steel. This ensures a long lifespan and therefore a durable material in your garden. This type of metal has the unique property of forming a very dense oxide skin (rust layer). This makes rusting through impossible. The dense oxide layer shields the underlying material from oxygen, which slows down oxidation but allows corrosion to continue. The overlay profile is delivered without rust, i.e. in the grey metal colour. The brown/orange rust layer forms within two to six months, which does not require any treatment. Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium have been added. The Corten steel overlay profile is produced in-house by our own craftsmen. Please note: during the rusting process, the overlay profile may peel off.
