How is a powder coated steel planter made?

Our powder coated steel planters are made in-house. We use high-quality sendzimir galvanized steel. Sendzimir is carbon steel that prevents rust (corrosion). After the planter is manufactured for you, it is finished in your desired RAL color. This color is applied using a powder coating technique.

Powder coating is an electrostatic process in which powder is applied to the metal using a spray gun. During curing in the oven, the powder particles first become liquid due to heat. Then the powder becomes viscous. Finally, the powder is cured into a beautiful, durable double-layer color coating. This coating is extremely UV resistant.

Buy a planter in a specific color

By default, we offer the RAL colors white, anthracite and black. Of course, it is possible to have the planter powder coated in any other desired RAL color. The advantage of this is that the planter fits into any garden. Do you want to go for a timeless and tough look of your garden? Or do you want to create a more rural atmosphere in your garden? It's up to YOU! Besides the color, you can also decide how high, wide and deep the planter will be. Will you choose a low or high planter? And do you want a wide or narrow planter? In addition to powder coated steel planters, you can also choose a Corten steel planter (with a typical rust color).

Dimensions of powder coated steel planters

The thickness of the material depends on the height. Planters up to a height of 60 cm have a thickness of 1.5 mm. From a height of 80 cm, the material is 2 mm thick. There has been extensive testing and this shows that these thicknesses are perfect for the planters. The top edge is double folded which provides a timeless and sturdy look.

Modular steel planter

A powder-coated steel planter is modular and consists of separate panels and corner pieces. The different parts can be connected completely blind, without visible fixings. Thanks to our modular system, very large dimensions are also possible. And by using corner pieces, unique shapes are possible that are not available anywhere else as standard. Also good to know: the powder coated planter is delivered as a modular package.
