This planter is made of fiberglass-reinforced polyester: a combination of strong fibers and high-quality plastic. This composition makes the planter exceptionally dimensionally stable, durable and resistant to temperature fluctuations. Also, the polyester planters are colored through-and-through and the wall thickness is 3 mm. The polyester planter is intended for outdoor use, because it is not waterproof.
Polyester planters are very easy to maintain. Occasionally dusting with a soft brush and cleaning with a soft damp cloth or sponge is sufficient to remove dirt and deposits. Avoid harsh cleaning agents and scouring sponges to keep the smooth finish intact.

Placement advice
Zorg voor een vlakke, stevige en waterpas ondergrond. Een ongelijkmatige ondergrond kan spanningen in de plantenbak veroorzaken. Laat rondom de bak minimaal 1 cm ruimte vrij. Zo voorkom je vochtophoping en bevorder je een gezonde luchtcirculatie en verleng je de levensduur van je plantenbak.
Vuladvies:
Onze polyesterbakken worden geleverd zonder afwateringsgaten. Boor daarom eerst één of meerdere gaten in de bodem met een metaalboor. Dit voorkomt dat water zich ophoopt en houdt de wortels gezond.
Plaats op de bodem van de plantenbak een laag hydrokorrels van ongeveer 10 cm hoog. Dit bevordert een goede waterafvoer. Zorg ervoor dat de afwateringsgaten vrij blijven.
Breng een waterdoorlatend worteldoek aan over de korrels om te voorkomen dat de aarde ertussen zakt. Laat het doek minimaal 10 cm tegen de zijkanten omhoog lopen voor een optimale werking.
Bedek het anti-worteldoek met een luchtig grondmengsel dat geschikt is voor de gekozen beplanting. Belangrijk: druk de aarde niet te hard aan. De plantenbak is ontworpen voor een natuurlijke beluchting – te veel druk kan het materiaal onnodig belasten. Vul de bak tot ongeveer twee derde en houd circa 5 cm ruimte aan de bovenrand vrij.
