To fix the corten steel panels firmly into the ground, use these uprights with ground peg. The steel tube can be bent at an angle. We strongly recommend placing the entire ground stake in the earth.
What is the upright with ground stake made of?
The post and ground pin are made of high-quality Corten-A steel, a metal alloy composed of iron, copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium. The unique characteristic of Corten steel is the formation of a dense oxide skin, which acts as a protective rust layer. This layer prevents rusting through and protects the inner material from further oxidation while the process of corrosion continues slowly.
Note: Delivery in non-rusted condition.
Upon delivery, these parts are in their original gray metal color, without rusting. The start of the rusting process begins in the first 2 months, no treatment is required for this. The post and ground pin rust at the same time as the panel. During this rusting process, the parts may shed some rust, which is part of the properties of Corten steel.
