Our Corten steel products are delivered unrusted. When you place your Corten steel product outside, it will rust naturally due to the influence of the weather. Within two to six months it will take on a warm orange/brown color.
Corten steel usually contains a layer of oil that temporarily protects the steel from oxidation. This makes it take longer for the product to get a nice rust color.
With our MySteel cleaner you can easily remove this oil layer. In combination with the MySteel rust accelerator gets the product in no time a beautiful orange / brown rust color.

1. Spray the MySteel cleaner all over the product.
2. Wipe over the treated product with a cloth until there is no more oil on it.
3. After degreasing, let the product dry for 30 minutes.
4. Spray the rust accelerator over the product.
5. Spread the rust accelerator evenly over the product with a roller or brush.
Try to avoid drips.
For nicer results, we recommend applying multiple coats of MySteel Rust accelerator. Repeat steps 4 and 5 every other day to achieve the desired results.
Tip: Spray from bottom to top to avoid streaks.
500ml of MySteel rust accelerator is enough for approximately 10m².

Unpack immediately upon receipt to avoid unwanted moisture stains.
