This planter is a modular steel planter that comes as a kit. The planter is constructed from individual panels and corner pieces. The planters can be connected completely blind. No fasteners are visible. Because of our modular system, very large dimensions are also possible. By using corner pieces, unique shapes are possible that are not available anywhere else as standard. See the manual for more information.
The top edge is double turned. This gives the planter a timeless and sturdy look. The rust color gives a warm appearance and makes these planters applicable in modern and classic gardens. The thickness of the material depends on the height. Planters up to a height of 60 cm have a thickness of 1.5 mm. From a height of 80 cm, the material is 2 mm thick. It has been extensively tested that these thicknesses are sufficient for the planters.
Material
The panels of our modular planters are manufactured from high-quality Corten-A steel plate. This type of metal has the unique property of forming a very dense oxide skin (rust layer). Rusting through is therefore impossible. Because of the dense oxide skin, the deeper lying material is shielded from oxygen, thus oxidation is greatly delayed while corrosion continues. The Corten steel planter is delivered unrusted, in the gray metallic color. The rusting process begins after weeks to 2 months, no treatment is required. During the rusting process, the planter may shed. Corten steel is a metal alloy composed of iron to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium are added.
