This house number is fitted with spacers, which ensure that the house number is mounted with a small distance from the wall. The spacers ensure a tight end result where it looks as if the house number floats. When mounting, you screw the threaded pins supplied into the thread of the spacers and then slide them into a (sealant-filled) drill hole in the wall. After the sealant dries, the house number remains firmly in place in the wall.
The house number is delivered rust-free, in the grey metallic colour. The brown/orange rust layer forms within a few weeks to months; no treatment is required. During the rusting process, the house number may rub off.
