These planters are manufactured from high-quality Corten-A steel plate. This type of metal has the unique property of forming a very dense oxide skin (rust layer). Rusting through is therefore impossible. The dense oxide layer protects the deeper lying material from oxygen, which slows down oxidation considerably while corrosion continues. The Corten steel planter is delivered untreated, in the grey metallic colour. The brown/orange rust layer forms within weeks to months, no treatment is required. During the rusting process, the planter may come off. Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium have been added.

The top edge is double-sided, which gives the planter a timeless and sturdy look. The rust colour gives a warm appearance and makes these planters suitable for modern and classic gardens. The thickness of the material depends on the height. Planters up to a height of 60 cm have a thickness of 1.5 mm. From a height of 80 cm, the material is 2 mm thick. It has been extensively tested that these thicknesses are sufficient for the planters.

This planter is a modular steel planter delivered as a kit. The planter is constructed from separate panels and corner pieces. The planters can be connected completely blind. There are no fasteners in sight. Because of our modular system, very large dimensions are also possible.
