This connecting plate is for connecting the middle border edges (22 and 25 cm height) and thereby creating an angle. This coupling plate can be attached to the border using self-tapping screws. These can also be ordered from us.
Material This connecting plate is made of high-quality Corten-A steel plate. This type of metal has the unique property of forming a very dense oxide skin (rust layer). Rusting through is therefore impossible. Due to the dense oxide layer, the deeper lying material is protected from oxygen, which slows down the oxidation process while the corrosion continues. The coupling plate is delivered untreated, in the gray metal color. The start of the rusting process begins within the first 2 months, no treatment is required. During the rusting process, the border edge may peel off. Corten steel is a metal alloy composed of iron with copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium added.
