The retaining walls are easy to join together blindly with the supplied fasteners. There is no need to fix the retaining walls to the ground. Due to the wide lower edge and pressure of the earth, the retaining wall will remain upright.
Material The retaining walls are made of high-quality Corten-A steel plate. This type of metal has the unique property of forming a very dense oxide skin (rust layer). This makes rusting through impossible. The dense oxide layer protects the deeper lying material from oxygen, which slows down oxidation considerably while corrosion continues. The retaining walls are delivered without rust, in the grey metallic colour. The brown/orange rust layer forms within a few weeks to months and does not require any treatment. During the rusting process, the retaining walls may peel off. Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron with added copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium.
